CHAPPELL GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH, Ellerbe, will celebrate Women’s Day starting with morning worship at 11 a.m. with Pastor H.K. Williams and at 3 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Althea Harris of Parker Grove Church of New London, North Carolina along with her choir and members. All ladies are asked to wear white.

ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 311 Marlboro St., Hamlet, invites the community to a special Sunday worship service beginning at 11 a.m. The congregation will welcome the Sandhills Ringers and Singers who will provided special music throughout the service. The 14 member handbell choir and six voices of the singers come from various congregations in Richmond County and are under the direction of Judy Harris. GREEN LAKE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 507 Green Lake Road, Rockingham, will celebrate its Women in White program at 3 p.m. Minister Wanda Cassidy of Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Rockingham will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited to attend.

LEE THEE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH, 428 Lee Thee Church Road, Rockingham, will have its annual men’s day program at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Richmond County Sheriff James Clemmons Jr. Everyone is invited to come.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 U.S. 74 East, Hamlet, will celebrate its 21st choir anniversary of the youth choir and fifth anniversary of the youth mime team ministry at 4 p.m. All mime teams, choirs, soloists and the public are invited to attend.

BIBLE FREE WILL CHURCH OF WORSHIP, 682 N.C. 381, Hamlet, will have its fellowship revival at 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7:30 p.m. nightly May 4-8. Guest speakers include the Rev. Ellis Cooper, the Rev. PRAYER DELIVERANCE MINISTRIES at 108 School St. hosts a feeding program for the homeless each Wednesday.

FAITH ASSEMBLY OUTREACH MINISTRIES will be having a soup kitchen 9 to 10:15 a.m. every Sunday and from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. every Tuesday. No one is turned away. Food furnished by the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and donations.

TABERNACLE OF FAITH PENTECOSTAL HOLINESS CHURCH, 101 Pine St., Hamlet, will have noonday prayer from noon to 1 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. The church will also have Bible study from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Every second and fourth Thursday of each month, its food bank will be opened.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 U.S. 74 E., Hamlet, will have community prayer service at 6 p.m. each Tuesday of the month. This is a prayer service for local communities and the nation. All people are invited to attend.
