FREEDOM MINISTRIES NO. 1, 211 Earle Franklin Drive, Dobbins Heights, will have a dinner sale starting at 9:30 a.m. All dinners are for a donation of $7 and sandwiches for $4. Will deliver for five plates or more. For more information, call 910-434-4825.

LEE THEE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH, 428 Lee Thee Church Road, Rockingham, will have a car show beginning at 9 a.m. Come out and fellowship.

SUNDAY

CHAPPELL GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH, Ellerbe, will celebrate Women’s Day starting with morning worship at 11 a.m. with Pastor H.K. Williams and at 3 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Althea Harris of Parker Grove Church of New London, North Carolina along with her choir and members. All ladies are asked to wear white.

ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 311 Marlboro St., Hamlet, invites the community to a special Sunday worship service beginning at 11 a.m. The congregation will welcome the Sandhills Ringers and Singers who will provided special music throughout the service. The 14 member handbell choir and six voices of the singers come from various congregations in Richmond County and are under the direction of Judy Harris. GREEN LAKE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 507 Green Lake Road, Rockingham, will celebrate its Women in White program at 3 p.m. Minister Wanda Cassidy of Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Rockingham will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited to attend.

LEE THEE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH, 428 Lee Thee Church Road, Rockingham, will have its annual men’s day program at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Richmond County Sheriff James Clemmons Jr. Everyone is invited to come.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 U.S. 74 East, Hamlet, will celebrate its 21st choir anniversary of the youth choir and fifth anniversary of the youth mime team ministry at 4 p.m. All mime teams, choirs, soloists and the public are invited to attend.

BIBLE FREE WILL CHURCH OF WORSHIP, 682 N.C. 381, Hamlet, will have its fellowship revival at 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7:30 p.m. nightly May 4-8. Guest speakers include the Rev. Ellis Cooper, the Rev. FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 133 Ballard St., Ellerbe, will have revival services at 7:30 nightly May 3-6. Guest speaker the Rev. Al Baker will be preaching on the theme of “Seeking A Revival Culture.” A nursery will be provided. The public is invited to attend.

UPCOMING-ONGOING

PRAYER DELIVERANCE MINISTRIES at 108 School St. hosts a feeding program for the homeless each Wednesday.

FAITH ASSEMBLY OUTREACH MINISTRIES will be having a soup kitchen 9 to 10:15 a.m. every Sunday and from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. every Tuesday. No one is turned away. Food furnished by the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and donations.

POPLAR SPRINGS MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH will be having a noonday Bible study and prayer meeting every Wednesday. Everyone is invited to share in this experience. For additional information, call 910-997-2468.

HOME BIBLE STUDY Does the Bible seem too hard to understand? The Rockingham Church of Christ is offering a free home Bible study by mail. The community is invited to participate. Call 910-895-4035 and clearly leave your name and mailing address.

HOMEBOUND PRAYER MEETINGS are offered with Band No. 2 of the Church of God to the homes of people who can’t get out to go to church due to illness. Call for an appointment for prayer or Bible study services in your home at 910-997-1213.

NEW BETHEL A.M.E. ZION CHURCH will have a monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. every first and third Saturday. The breakfast is $5 for eat-in or take-out.

TABERNACLE OF FAITH PENTECOSTAL HOLINESS CHURCH, 101 Pine St., Hamlet, will have noonday prayer from noon to 1 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. The church will also have Bible study from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Every second and fourth Thursday of each month, its food bank will be opened.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1596 U.S. 74 E., Hamlet, will have community prayer service at 6 p.m. each Tuesday of the month. This is a prayer service for local communities and the nation. All people are invited to attend.

MORNING STAR HOLINESS CHURCH, 120 McArthur St., Hamlet, will have a 10 a.m. morning service and a 7 p.m. night service every first, second and third Sunday of the month. Bible study will be from 6 to 7 p.m. every Thursday. All are invited to worship here.

VICTORY DELIVERANCE CHURCH OF GOD will host the Pastors’ United Fellowship services with noon-day prayer and business meeting at 5 p.m. followed by Bible study on May 6.

FAITH TEMPLE HOLINESS CHURCH will celebrate its 22nd anniversary at 7:30 p.m. nightly May 7-8. The guest speaker for both nights will be Pastor Dockery from Macedonia Church in Hoffman.

FAITH ANOINTED DELIVERANCE CENTER, 166 N.C. 38, Hamlet, will have its annual Women’s Day program at 11 a.m. on May 10. Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate.

FREEDOM MINISTRIES NO. 1 will hold its second Sunday fellowship services at 2:30 p.m. on May 10 with guest speaker Bishop Wooten of Feed My People House of Prayer.

PHILADELPHIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will hold a mini-health fair from 9 a.m. to noon on May 16.

ST. STEPHEN A.M.E. ZION CHURCH, 407 West Ave., Hamlet, will have its four seasons celebration at 5 p.m. on May 16. Cost is a $10 donation. See a St. Stephen member for tickets. Come and enjoy food, Christian fellowship and fun.

Ellerbe of New Parkers Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro and Valerie Little of Expected Ends Ministry in Wadesboro. Registration fee is $10, and light refreshments will be served.
