Henry Hobert Hudson, 88, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet.

Mr. Hudson was born February 29, 1924 in Richmond County, a son of the late William David and Lydia Jane King Hudson. He had attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church and had worked with Aleo Manufacturing, Sandhurst Hosiery and Pinebluff Products prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verbedell King Hudson, step-mother, Helen Thompson Hudson, brothers, Carl, Clyde, Walter, Leroy and Marshall Hudson, and sisters, Deliah Chappell and Mary Melton.

Surviving are a son, Stanley Davis of Rockingham; daughters, Bobbie Lee Webb, Jenelle Killian and Rita Millikan ( Bobby), all of Rockingham; grandchildren, Michelle Byrne (Eddie), Larry Davis (Pam), Charlie Vance ( Donna Kay) , Rickie Vance (Michelle), Travis Webb ( Tiffany) , Chris Millikan, Shannon Millikan, Robby Killian and Christy Leviner (Eddie); twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Sadie Richardson of Rockingham; brothers, John Ray Hudson of Goldsboro, Larry Wayne Hudson, George Hudson Clifford Hudson, Edwin Hudson and Junior Hudson, all of Rockingham; and sister, Margie Cobler of Rockingham.

Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Thursday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. A.B. Brown and Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlake Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at his home.
