Mr. Rusty Lee Brayboy, 27, of 133 Shaw Lane in Rockingham, N.C., passed away quietly on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Brayboy was born on July 2, 1986 in Richmond County to Mr. Jessie Taylor and Tammy Benton.

Mr. Brayboy worked in construction often doing roofing jobs. Mr. Brayboy was a popular contender in his one and only Tough Man Championships contest held 2008 in Rockingham and was labeled the toughest and baddest brawler.

He is survived by his wife, Ms. Sonya Brayboy and from this union they had a son Mr. Rusty Lee Brayboy Jr. (Lil Rusty), both of the home. He is also survived by three brothers, Mr. Jonathan Brayboy (Beth), Mr. Buddy Patrick (Cynthia) both of Hamlet and Mr. Chris Posey (Jennifer) of Greenville; four sisters, Tasha Bryant (Delain) of Rockingham, Heather Chavis (James) of Greensboro, Renee Taylor of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Christy Benton (Brian) of Hamlet; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom loved Rusty and thought a lot of him.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Mr. Rusty Brayboy at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at McNeill Funeral Home Chapel located at 1101 Rockingham Road in Rockingham. The service will be officiated by Mr. William McLaughlin (Big Show).
