In the Pictorial Bible Dictionary on page #766 at the word sect it list the Pharisee’s,the Suducee’s and the Christians,it references Christians at ACTS 24-5,28-22 ,and Acts 24-14. In Chapter 24-5 he is accused of being the ringer of this sect. IN Chapter 28-22 it is this sect is spoken against everywhere .In Acts 24-14 Sha’ul(Hebrew name )confesses that according to the way they call a sect,so I worship the Elohim (God) OF my fathers.There is one more set that stands out in the early church that is not mentioned in scripture and if a person reasons things out in his own mind he may figue out how the first church came into being ,speaking of the Universal Catholic Church.On page#261 a group called the Essenes appear during the time of the Messiah in the first century.They seldom marry but kept their ranks filled by adopting children and teaching then they way of life .Their origin is unknown but their nane means Holy ones. They disapeared about 100 Ad.We know nor that SHA-UL was in a sect,a follower of Yahushua Messsiah.Now i want to be in the same sect as Sha,ul.He also said that the Messiah was raised on the third day,He also said he believed in the law and the prophets .One writer used Acts chapter 151>15 to answer Mr.Andrews.These 15 verses contain about 450 words ,the writer used 517 words in his version of these verses.The wrter used 67 words more than was in the verses.I call that adding to and taking away because many of his words were not in the original verses.Revelations chapter #22-18&19 puts one who does under a curse.Preachers need to be care in explaining scripture also.I praise the Hebrew Yahusha,Psalms 68-4with no J.
